A classic snake ring crafted in 9ct yellow gold, the snake coiled around three times to form a solid band, the head set with a single garnet. Inside the shank is a British hallmark dating to 1965, a maker's stamp and the engraved initials "DMT", perhaps once the owner of the ring.
Snake jewellery is said to represent eternity or infinity - it dates back many centuries and remains popular and collectable to this day.
Hallmarked as 9ct gold, dated London 1965.
Maker's mark "R G Ltd".
The width of the band measures approximately 10.8mm (at its widest point).
The approximate weight is 7.6 grams.
