With two incredibly detailed sides to choose from, this gorgeous Victorian locket offers options as to which way to wear it. The front features a cross pattée in relief, engraved with flowers and leaves. The back is engraved with a swallow bird flying over water, with a palm tree and bamboo. The locket is fully hallmarked for the year 1881, and has space inside for two oval photographs.
Hallmarked as sterling silver, dated Birmingham 1881.
Maker's mark "J&F.S".
The locket (including the halter) measures approximately 65mm (L) x 37.6mm (W).
