A rare Victorian ring from the year 1876, the circular head set with a small turquoise, the band beautifully embossed with "MIZPAH", a Hebrew term meaning "watchtower", which has come to connote an emotional bond between people who are separated (either physically or by death).
This excellent example is presented in very good antique condition and is a suitable piece of jewellery for occasional wear.
Hallmarked 9ct gold, dated Birmingham 1876.
Maker's mark "D.L.D".
The head measures approximately 10.3mm in diameter.
The approximate weight is 2.7 grams.
