An incredible antique Pietra Dura brooch mounted within an 18ct yellow gold rope edge frame, with a brooch fitting. The term "pietra dura" refers to the inlay technique of creating an image using coloured stones by hand. These mosaic pieces were popular during the Victorian period and remain highly collectible today.
