An incredible antique brooch from the Georgian era, the front housing some neatly woven hair beneath glass, surrounded by white pearls, the back featuring a bittersweet inscription: "Jane Smith, Died 12th Feby 1813, Aged 20". The brooch is made in 15ct gold and is in remarkably good condition considering its age. A perfect piece for those who love mourning or sentimental jewellery.

Dated 1813.
Unmarked, tested as 15ct gold.

The brooch measures approximately 23.5mm (L) x 18.2mm (W).

The approximate weight is 5.8 grams.

CONDITION: In very good antique condition, with some light surface wear commensurate with age. The pin and catch functions perfectly.
