
An attractive antique necklace by renowned jeweller Murrle Bennett, the beautiful floral pendant set with amethysts and seed pearls, mounted in 15ct yellow gold with an integrated chain, fastened by a barrel clasp.
About Murrle Bennett from The British Museum:
The wholesale jewellery business of Murrle Bennett (Ernst Mürrle and J.B.Bennett) opened in London as Siegele & Bennett in 1884 advertising in 1891 as 'manufacturers and importers of British and Foreign jewellery also at 39 Bleich-strasse, Pforzheim'. The firm was renamed Murrle, Bennett & Co. In 1916 the firm was purchased and the business continued at the same address under the name White, Redgrove & Whyte.
Circa 1900-1910.
Stamped and tested as 15ct gold.
Maker's mark "MB&Co".
The chain measures approximately 35cm / 13.7 inches long.
The pendant measures approximately 55mm (L) x 58mm (W).
The approximate weight is 6.9 grams.
