An exquisite Edwardian era pendant, the open circle formed of fifteen almandine garnets of a beautiful pink-purple hue, claw set with closed backing in 9 carat yellow gold. The reverse has a sweet hand-engraving which reads "20 Feb 1905". Most likely given as a gift for a special date over 120 years ago.
Engraved with a 1905 date, however the pendant is likely Victorian circa 1880's.
Unmarked, tested as 9 carat gold.
The pendant, including the jump ring, measures approximately 31mm (L) x 23.7mm (W).
The approximate weight is 3.1 grams.
