A fine antique 15ct gold locket, beautifully engraved with crosshatch and floral patterns to both sides. Inside is an arrangement of human hair and gold wire - a common practice in Victorian times, often used to remember a deceased loved one and keep them close. The long chain, also in 15ct gold and likely the original, is optional but matches the locket perfectly.
