A beautiful antique sovereign or coin case crafted in solid sterling silver, the lid opening via the push button beneath the top ring. The coin holder is sprung, allowing a few coins to be held safely inside. Fully hallmarked and dating to 1906, this would make an excellent addition to an antique silver collection.
Hallmarked as sterling silver, dated Birmingham 1906.
Maker's mark "ALD", likely for Aaron Lufkin Dennison.
The case (including the top ring) measures approximately 47.1mm (L) x 30.7mm (W).
The approximate weight is 18.4 grams.
Please note that the antique box pictured is for display purposes only. Thank you.
CONDITION: In very good antique condition, with some light surface wear commensurate with age. The push button works as it should, and the lid closes with a snap.
