A beautiful antique, World War I era locket crafted in 9ct yellow gold, the circular pendant engraved on each side, the front with a blank cartouche and the reverse with stunning leaf engravings. Inside the locket are two spaces for photographs.
Hallmarked as 9ct gold, dated Birmingham 1916.
Maker's mark "M.W&S".
The locket measures approximately 30.3mm (L) x 24.7mm (W).
The approximate weight is 6.2 grams.

CONDITION: In very good antique condition, with some surface wear including light scratches commensurate with age. The locket opens and closes as it should. Both original frames are present inside.
